This two-day workshop for master’s students in Emergency & Resilience combined theoretical and hands-on activities on vault design and construction. The”I Like an Arch”sessions introduced vaulting principles, from design to practice, culminating in a hands-on workshop where students applied their knowledge to build unreinforced masonry structuresand relyon blending structural science with craftsmanship, emphasizing greener, cost-effective, and accessible solutions. The learning included exploring how vaulting uses natural materials, reduces environmental impact, employs local labor, and relies on simple production methods. Modern tools expand its scalability and applications across diverse contexts.
